Lion B.S. Rajashekaraiah, a Melvin Jones Fellow, was born in an agricultural and spiritual family on 8th June 1967 to his late parents Sri Singaraiah and Smt. Ganga Narasamma in Bettahalli village, Tumkur
District. After he completed his Primary schooling in his village and High School at Amruthur, he graduated from RC College, Bangalore.
In the year 1986, he started his own printing press named Lakshmi Screen Printers and Sree Graphics. He has now successfully completed 35 years in his professional field. Ln.
B.S. Rajashekaraiah is part of many associations and is serving as Chairman/President of around 12 Social & Cultural Associations.
B.S. Rajashekaraiah joined Lions Club of Vidyaranyapura in the year 2012-13. He served as President of the Club and was awarded as an Excellent President. The club reached the top 5th position in the district. He was awarded Gold for services and Silver award for administration.
In his tenure as President, he was instrumental in getting a permanent office space for his club. At the district level, he has served as Zone Chairperson in the year 2015-2016, District Cabinet Treasurer in2016-17, Region Chairperson in 2017-18, Additional Co-ordinator for Youth during 2018-19, and District Cabinet Secretary in 2019-20. He was awarded as Best in all his positions both in District & Multiple.
He is also a recipient of International President Medal and was awardedthe International President Appreciation Certificates 7 times. Hewas the District Lion of the year in 2016-17.
Ln. B.S. Rajashekaraiah served as a LDSF Trustee and was Treasurer in the Year 2017-18. Apart from this, he also served as Chairman, Secretary,Treasurer for Region Meets, Cabinet Presentation and District Convention. He also served as Secretary for Multiple District Convention.
He is a graduate of Regional Lions Leadership Institute, Advanced Lions Leadership Institute & Faculty Development Institute.
He is happily married to Prema L, who is also a member of Lions Club of Vidyaranyapu ra. The couple are blessed with three children. His elder daughter,
Dr. Aishwarya B.R. is a Gynaecologist is married to Dr. Bharath K. MD emergency Medicine, both are working at their private set up at Bharath Kempanna Multi Speciality Hospital, Bidadi. They are blessed with a daughter Duthi B. Gowda.
His younger daughter, Soundharya B.R., is pursuing her MBBS at Sri Sathya Sai Medical College, and son Ravitej Gowda B.R. is studying in 10th Standard at DPS North.
