District Governor's Programme Goals

Global Action Team (GAT) Leadership Goals

  • Impart leadership training to 1,500 Lions at the club level.
  • Provide targeted training through:
    • PST and Vice President Schooling
    • Seminars on Membership Development
    • Orientation Programs on Mission 1.5 Million Membership
    • District Lions Leadership Institute Programs
    • Global Action Team Conclave
    • Seminars on LCIF & Impactful Services
    • Seminars on Public Speaking
  • Conduct Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) workshops for at least 40 clubs.
  • Organize Sensitization Programs for: Cabinet Officers' Schooling, GAT Conclave, LCIF Seminars, RLLI, Membership & Leadership Seminars, and Public Speaking Workshops.

Global Service Team (GST) Goals

  • Achieve 100% Club Service Activities reporting on the Lions Portal.
  • Ensure every club implements at least one permanent project or community activity.

Health & Wellness Initiatives

  • Screen 150,000 individuals for Diabetes.
  • Screen 200,000 individuals for Vision.
  • Distribute 5,000 spectacles and facilitate 1,000 cataract surgeries.
  • Conduct 4 Mega Health Camps (one in each quarter coordinated by the DCs).
  • Organize awareness campaigns on childhood cancer and support children undergoing active treatment.
  • Host blood donation camps to collect a target of 10,000 units of blood.
  • Organize Speech and Hearing camps across the district, providing free hearing aids.

Environment & Sustainability

  • Plant 20,000 tree saplings across the district.
  • Drive environmental awareness on the critical use of Biodegradable Plastic.
  • Promote and implement Rainwater Harvesting practices.
  • Encourage and organize dedicated E-Waste collection drives.

Hunger Relief

  • Mobilize and encourage clubs to proactively participate in hunger relief efforts, successfully feeding 150,000 individuals throughout the year at KC General Hospital and alternative designated community locations.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

  • Encourage every individual club to establish and operationalize their own independent charitable trust.
  • Assist clubs in successfully procuring mandatory Tax Exemption protocols from competent legal authorities.
  • Identify and approach Corporate, Government, and Semi-Government agencies to build powerful partnerships via the Lions District Service Foundation (LDSF).

Membership Development & Extension (GMT / GET)

  • Ensure a minimum of 20% net membership growth within existing clubs.
  • Maintain a strict target of 95% member retention across all clubs.
  • Motivate and support all clubs to achieve a **minimum baseline of 20 active members** or more.
  • Actively promote and empower Women members.
  • Provide efficient, impactful indoctrination and onboarding to all incoming prospective members.
  • Organize comprehensive New Member Orientation sessions at the District level.
  • Promote the growth and transition of the Leo Lion Program.
  • Organize specialized family and women member symposiums.
  • GET Goals: Explore unrepresented geographic locations; strategically initiate and charter at least 10 new Lions Clubs with a minimum of 21 founding members each.

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF)

  • Promote completely free Cataract Surgeries and support Pediatric Cancer patients.
  • Organize wide-scale awareness campaigns highlighting Childhood Cancer and related oncology issues.
  • Actively apply for and secure LCIF grants for meaningful district projects.
  • Disburse educational scholarships worth Rs. 10 Lakhs to poor and meritorious students.
  • Donate a collective 25,000 dollars to LCIF via MJF/PMJF upgrades and smaller shared donation programs.
  • Motivate every single member of the District to contribute a baseline of 10/20 dollars for the entire year to LCIF.

Education & Youth Programs

  • Provide direct Educational Scholarships for 100 students.
  • Distribute laptops to poor and needy students.
  • Organize 5 Teacher Training Workshops (TTW) under the Lions Quest initiatives.
  • Implement structural Quest Programs into as many local schools as possible.
  • Host routine, engaging Kannada and Culture alignment programs.
  • Organize and scale global Peace Poster Competitions.

New Voices Leadership Programs

  • Celebrate and organize high-profile International Women's Day Programs.
  • Curate and run custom, advanced Leadership Programs designed for Lady Lion members.

Organ Donation

  • Organize seminars to robustly promote Organ Donation in a big way.
  • Task and encourage every individual club to systematically promote the above.
  • Popularize the profound impact of Cornea Donation (Eye Ball Donation) across communities.

Public Relations / Image Building / Marketing

  • Organize impactful, public-interest Walkathons and rallies.
  • Execute infrastructure service projects to build toilets in Government Schools.
  • Spur modern adaptation by encouraging clubs to launch and maintain their own professional websites.
  • Erect eye-catching, strategic Lions brand hoardings at key traffic locations.
  • Invite eminent external personalities to club service actions to drive public visibility.
  • Deepen structural ties with mainstream Print and Electronic Media outlets.
  • Observe National Journalism Day.
  • Explicitly honor top-tier, eminent Journalists on important community occasions.
